Dublin, Molly Malone




這是一個我還蠻喜歡在dublin的小故事,但大家都能朗朗上口的鄉野傳奇,Molly Malone。
在1988年,為了慶祝都柏林建城一千年,設立了這樣一個雕像。Molly Malone,一位漂亮的姑娘,早上時以買賣魚來維生;晚上成為了蒲松齡裡的夜度娘。很不幸就在她年輕時候就因為生病而死去了,沒人幫助她。有人說剛巧她是當時女人辛苦討生活的縮寫。


在歷史上沒資料能證實Molly Malone 的存在,卻深刻刻印在愛爾蘭人腦海中。不刻意去查詢歷史的真實,簡單去相信這樣的傳奇不是很浪漫嗎?愛爾蘭人是一族愛唱歌族群,去想像那時候的Molly Malone 是否會一邊唱歌一邊叫賣她手中的魚兒,或晚間以歌聲來吸引顧客。
